"A Gift from My Heart" Tag

I love making tags. They're so handy to have for last minute gifts and when I need to decorate a little something for a host/hostess (wine or cookies usually).

For this tag I used papers from the Florentine pack. The tag was cut from olive card stock at 3.75 in. The flowers were cut from twilight card stock at 2.5 and 3 in. (All from Art Philosophy of course, my favorite.) The strip of B&T Duos paper is 1x about 3 in. (I had to trim the edges just a tad to be flush). The little curvy shape that was stamped with the frame and sentiment was cut at 1.25 in. on white daisy card stock, then inked with bamboo to match the B&T Duos strip. All the edges were then inked with cocoa ink, including the flowers. The stamp sets I used were "Crafted with Love" and "Eclectic Edges." The two edges were stamped on the tag above and below the B&T Duos piece in olive ink. To keep them straight I used a pencil to mark each end where the stamp should be placed (since CTMH My Acrylix stamps are clear it is super easy to stamp exactly where I want). I also stamped on the VersaMat to line everything up. The frame and sentiment were stamped in crème brulee ink. I used 3-D foam tape to give it some dimension next to the flowers. I also used crème brulee ink to stain a 6 in. strip of color-ready seam binding ribbon. (A must have, I love that I can make it whatever color I want, it is super versatile and great for almost every project.) Once I looped the ribbon through I used a 6 in. piece of natural hemp to tie a bow and keep it in place. Last but not least, the flowers! I rolled them up and used liquid glass to hold them in place. I finished them off with pearl opaques adhesive gems (medium for the bigger flower and small, not bitty, for the smaller flower). I really like how it turned out. I also love how the swirly eclectic edges stamp matches the swirls in the B&T Duos paper almost perfectly.

LOVEly little boxes

These are some little boxes I made for Valentine's day. (Yes, a bit late for a post but the idea could be used for anniversaries, weddings, showers, anything really.) The papers are again digital but from two different packs- Lovebird and He Loves both from www.peppermintcreative.com. (They're having a sale this weekend too). The boxes, flowers, and tickets are from Art Philosophy. The hearts came with the digital pack. The french fry box got inked edges and a stamped sentiment. I curved the stamp when I mounted it on the block. (One of the many great things about CTMH stamps- they can be curved for stamping but bounce back after!)

21st Birthday Card

More Art Philosophy! This card was made for my friend's 21st (if you couldn't tell...). The striped paper is actually a free download from the kit happy go lucky at www.shabbyprincess.com. Lots of free cute stuff. I covered the whole card in glitter too, I figured it was appropriate for the occasion... I kept the inside simple with the happy birthday stamp included in the CTMH Cricut collection. Usually, I add some layers to the inside but this was a smaller card. I love how it turned out. It's definitely a favorite!
