This went with a bridal shower gift for a good friend of mine. This card was actually a collaborative effort with help from another one of my very good friends. We got her a bunch of baking stuff so we went with this cupcake from the "Sweet Treats"cartridge. The heart on top is my favorite part. We covered it with glitter and then topped it with liquid glass to get that glossy, 3D look. It's also great because the glitter won't come off once it dries. (There's a bit of a foggy spot in the middle of the heart because it wasn't entirely dry when I took the picture, but I swear it turned out crystal clear come party time.) This technique is also great for making accents that could be used in a similar way to buttons and brads (I'm thinking more of the button fasteners in particular). But be sure to watch the surface area being covered, too big of a piece of paper will curl when drying. Also, if covering something that has been inked- wait for it to dry first to prevent massive bleeding. But back to this card... We also included my favorite little art philosophy flowers. I love the white too. It just seems so bridal! The lagoon and sweet leaf dotted paper is from the Dotty for You paper pack and the swirl stamp on the card base is from Love Life. The inside is stamped with "Congratulations" from Limited Edition and there are some swirls in there too, but we had already added our little note so it's not pictured here. It looks a lot like the birthday card in the previous post. We also punched a small hole (1/8 I think) in the corner for the ribbon, so we could tie it to the gift bag.
