Oh Ho the Mistletoe!

My achievement here was using a card base other than white (or any neutral for that matter). I embossed the mistletoe and added some pearls. I strung the tag on the ribbon and tied a bow where the mistletoe bunch would be gathered. A strip of pattern paper adds some color. It's not visible in the picture, but I used a circle die to round the top of the tag.

Holly Days

I experimented with combining the traditional red/green pairing with a frosty blue. I also stamped the holly on a white base then fussy cut a section to stick out. This was my first attempt at this technique, and I'm very happy with how it came out.

A Rare Find

I love this guy! He is, without a doubt, my favorite new stamp!

I paper pieced his fur and colored his tongue. (The little squiggles are actually waves on the pattern paper.)
I made a shaker snow globe for his home. I used shimmer card stock for the background and regular white card stock for the lump of snow he is standing on. I hole punched a bunch of confetti from both the shimmer and regular card stock. I used 1/8" foam tape to keep all of the confetti and glitter inside. The Yeti is popped up with 1/16" foam tape. I used circle dies for the snow globe bubble and base along with the banner. It's a fun card but requires a lot of foam tape!

Rather than reinvent the wheel- here is where I learned how to make shakers and curved banners.

Woodland Birthday

I love CAS for masculine cards. This one is pretty straightforward. A background stamp + cricut cut + sentiment + embellishment. I kept wanting to add more or do more, but I was worried about lessening the masculinity or overdoing it, so I had to restrain myself. After all, I wanted the card to be about the person receiving it and not the person making it.

Cover Plates with Artbooking

I'm very proud of my cover plate. It took a while messing with it (and a few practice cuts) but I did it! I welded a frame that was the size of a card front to one of the overlays. The hardest part was making the overlay line up just so- that way there weren't any odd tiny cuts along the edge where it meets the frame. I also had to 'hide' quite a few cuts too.

Paper, Scissors, Superheroes has a great cover plate tutorial on how to attach it to the card base

Bright Blessings

For this little pumpkin, I used a combination of clear embossing powder and glitter. I love this technique because the glitter really sticks in there and doesn't come off on everything.

Happy Autumn

Some fussy cuts and layering of the images with foam tape + sparkles + sentiment. That's it! Pretty simple.

Side note: I'm totally obsessed with Wet Cement ink from Hero Arts. It might be my color for fall. I'm using it on everything (especially with Rustic White card stock).
